About Us

Bereket Ship Dismantling and Recycling Company was established in 1995 in Aliağa. Since then, it has been proceeding its projects at the 24th parcel of the dismantling area. To this day, it has successfully completed many dismantling projects for several ships of a variety of sizes and types which led the company to take it’s place among one of the best in the market with a staff who are experts in their field.

Our facility has an 11.675 square meters of outdoor and 1.254 square meters of indoor space.

What our company mainly seeks to achieve is to regain the raw material from scrap steel and equipment that are dismantled in an appropriated way under the rules of Labour Safety and Welfare (ISG) and to redound the outcome back to the economy as re-usable materials.

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

On top of being able to reach the outcome of related ISG environment and quality systems which is a part of our company’s strategic purposes, our firm has also delivered the neccesary responsibilities of the Basel-ILO/IMO contract on ship dismantling and EU Ship Dismantling Regulations on MEPC (Marine Environment Protection Committee).

About the application process of the related regulations and procedures, all legal requirements are succesfully met by documents. Under these legal regulations, GEMİSANDER conducts the decomposition of wastes in the source and working with licenced companies to measure toxic wastes and the environment (noise pollution, vibration, emissions, dust, sea water and the soil analysis) and in cases where the results point a dangerous and risky environment, all necessary actions are taken.

All ISG- Environment regulations and legal regquirements are followed and adressed by the responsible management member who, if anything changes or removed from the legislation, takes action accordingly and manages suitability.

GEMİSANDER is offered the service of Ship Dismantling Industry Union and other licenced instutions on obligatory actions that has to be taken before the dismantling process. Raw materials salvaged from the ships are given to the iron and steel industry as reusable materials for electronic machinery and deck equipments along side with yatch industry while, as always, keeping and securing customer satisfaction at its highest.

The radiation and gasfree waste inventory which is a must before ship dismantling process is conducted by the authorities of the Union of Ship Dismantling Industry and other licenced firms. Our company also has a proffessional advicing service by a licenced OSGB company on health and security over work-place. Our employees have also trained by proffessionals about health and safety requirements. Our firm makes everything ready in case of a possible accident or a natural disaster. With the equipment support of GEMİSANDER, our company keeps organizing emergency drills for our employees.
